Nori - Stage 4 High Risk Neuroblastoma

OUR MISSION

The Rose Lowenstein Foundation for Childhood Cancer Awareness is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization incorporated in January 2017 with the mission to raise awareness of childhood cancer and to assist deserving area families affected by childhood cancer in their time of need. As of April 2019, we have granted more than $60,000 to families in our local NWMO communities, and we are just getting started.

MEET ROSE

Rose is a beautiful 3 year old from Cameron, MO. She is the youngest child of Billy and Brittany Lowenstein and has two older siblings: Ella (8) and Harrison (6). Rose was born on November 29th, 2015 in Kansas City, MO. On April 6th, 2016, at 4 months of age, Rose was diagnosed with stage 4S Neuroblastoma – cancer of the nerve cells. She had a golf ball sized tumor on her left adrenal gland, and the cancer had metastasized to her liver and bone marrow. On April 14th, 2016, Rose suffered a stroke due to complications from a central line port. Miraculously, after five days, Rose regained full function in the right side of her body. Even more incredibly, a scan in May showed that her tumors were regressing spontaneously, without treatment. Further scans showed continuous regression, and on May 4, 2017, Rose was declared cancer free. We have now made it our life’s mission to help ease the burden on other area families going through the nightmare of childhood cancer.

The Rose Lowenstein Foundation’s work is made possible by the inspiring support of our people – our volunteers, board of directors, event committees, childhood cancer families, donors, partnerships and other generous supporters.
